When the vehicle starts to warm up the idle will decrease nicely to between 600 and 900 rpm.

Poor acceleration equals longer time accelerating, which is what we want to maintain full rack for as long as possible. Obviously lift off the throttle before you press the clutch to shift.

That warm up law just means you can't leave the car idling in place, there's no restriction on how the ecu behaves. I have read where Nissan has done this initial high rev in order to get the oil circulating faster to minimize engine wear.
